Final Inspection

After the completion of all works it is advisable  to ensure the quality of work has produced an inclusive environment accessible to disabled people, those with encumbrances such as shopping, prams, push chairs, pregnancy or temporary injury.

A final inspection to ensure the design meets the specified details of the project can be carried by an Access Auditor or Consultant.  These are sometimes referred to as Pre-Occupancy Evaluations.

Separately, other teething problems can be evaluated after the building has opened or re-opened, in a Post-Occupancy Evaluation.  It is usually also vital to have the input from an Access professional (Auditor or Consultant) at this stage in addition.
